Mission

It is the mission of Gypsum Recycling International to avoid landfilling of gypsum blocks and plasterboard waste, which instead can be 100% recycled into valuable raw materials for the production of new plasterboards.

By establishing recycling programmes we can assist the environment globally and save scarce natural resources, at the same time as we are providing the gypsum industry with a valuable raw material at low cost.

With landfills filling up everywhere, we consider it to be a very meaningful and desirable mission to help avoid that more than 15 million tons of gypsum waste is deposited at landfills yearly.

We do not save the world, but we surely help it become more environmentally friendly!

We do not need
to continue landfilling
plasterboard waste

100% RECYCLABLE
The recycling system
from Gypsum Recycling
International assures that
gypsum and plasterboard
waste becomes 100%
recyclable. The reproces-
sed powder, app. 94% of
the waste, is returned to
the plasterboard manu-
facturer for producing
new plasterboards. The
paper with related
contaminants, 6% of the
waste, can be reused for
composting, heat gene-
ration, building materials
etc. Hereby the gypsum
and plasterboard waste is
recycled 100%. Nothing
goes to the landfill.
