Now: 100% wallboard recycling with Gypsum Recycling International
In the article, Global Gypsum and Henrik Lund-Nielsen discussed the recently introduced and patented Gypsum Paper Recycling Technology which cleans and treats the paper fraction arising from the gypsum recycling process to ensure 100% recycling. This new technology is fully developed by GRI and co-funded by the Eco-innovation Initiative of the European Union.
By combining the new gypsum paper recycling technology with GRI’s existing gypsum waste recycling technology all the resources found in gypsum plasterboard waste can be reused. Thus, from 100% plasterboard waste, 95% recycled gypsum and 5% recycled paper can be made.
