Gypsum board

Gypsum Recycling International offers a gypsum board recycling solution with no costs nor investments required for the gypsum board industry.

In order to participate, all the gypsum industry will do is to absorb the recycled gypsum powder made from the recycling of the gypsum boards. For the industry, this will result in an improved environmental profile and image and a stable source of high quality recycled materials at a price lower than that of virgin materials.

Our specially developed recycling system will take care of all other aspects of the gypsum board recycling. First step is the collection of waste in our special containers which, among other things, make sure the gypsum board waste will not get wet. Next step is carried out by a truck that unloads the containers and transport the waste to a plant located close to the gypsum board plant that uses the recycled materials, such that transportation costs are kept at a minimum. The specially developed gypsum board recycling unit is mobile and is therefore able to service a larger number of plants.

Worldwide recycling

Gypsum Recycling International first introduced this solution in Denmark in 2001. Since then there has been a rapid development and today more than 90% of all municipal waste collection and waste transfer stations are covered by the system. In addition the majority of construction and demolition contractors are participating.

Worldwide we have established gypsum board recycling systems on three continents. Due to the mobile recycling units that can be dismantled in a matter of hours and moved to service a recycling warehouse in a different location, it is relatively easy to cover a new area simply by setting up a new warehouse and relocating the recycling unit.
