Gypsum
Gypsum Recycling International A/S was founded by Karsten Rasmussen, who has also within the last 20 years built the largest demolition company in Scandinavia, NKR Demolition Group.Gypsum Recycling International is the mother company of the internationally operating Gypsum Recycling Group. Gypsum Recycling International via its subsidiaries is the first company worldwide to have implemented a complete and commercially based system for recycling of all kinds of plasterboard and gypsum waste, that turns the waste into a raw material for production of new plasterboards.
Gypsum recycling
As the gypsum recycling units from Gypsum recycling International are mobile, expanding the system to cover new areas is relatively straight forward once a mobile gypsum recycling unit has been located on a continent. Thus, as the gypsum recycling units can be dismantled in a few hours and transported anywhere within a couple of days within the continent where the unit is active, Gypsum Recycling International has been able to – and can continue to – start up gypsum recycling activities easily in any part of Europe, North America and Japan.
For example, having established the gypsum recycling system in Holland in 2004, it was easy for Gypsum Recycling International to start the gypsum recycling system in Belgium in 2006, just by opening up another warehouse located there. Similarly, having established the gypsum recycling system in Massachusetts, it is easy to expand the system to cover New York, Washington or Miami, simply by opening up a new warehouse and relocate the gypsum recycling unit to that warehouse once it is full of gypsum waste ready to be recycled.
